Olimpia Milano, Kevin Pangos doesn’t think about Chacho’s legacy
The 29-year-old playmaker will be the new red and white director
After the farewell of Sergio Rodriguez (returned to Spain, to Real Madrid), coach Ettore Messina decided to entrust the direction of the team to Kevin Pangos, also seen with the Cleveland Cavs’ jersey.
It will be up to him to pick up the heavy legacy of Chacho: “I have the utmost respect for Chacho as a player and person, for what he did in his career. But as players we are different and I’m not worried about the comparison, I just think about being myself and using my best weapons,” his words during the press presentation. Many consider him a true leader: “I think it depends on my parents. My father was a coach for many years, and I had from a very young age the opportunity to know so many people in the basketball world to learn from. It all came from there.”
