Giorgio Chiellini candid about Juventus in crisis
Former HCL captain speaks
Giorgio Chiellini, former Juventus captain, spoke at the Trento Sports Festival via a link from Los Angeles, his new home after moving to LAFC. Among the topics discussed, inevitably, was the crisis of his former team, which is coming off heavy defeats against Benfica in the Champions League and Monza in the league.
“It’s not easy to understand today’s Juventus,” Chiellini said, candidly. “I follow it as a fan, I’m sorry for the last results: however, patience is needed, particular situations have concatenated. I hope that after the break the team can return to do well.”
“I am convinced that Juve will be more of a team after the World Cup,” he added, “and they could rise again because there is no team at the moment that can kill the championship. After all, seven days have passed, even if it seems like seventy: the Scudetto is not impossible, maybe later on the opponents will do less well and Juve will come out in the distance.”
