MotoGp, Ducati: Pecco Bagnaia and the relationship with rivals for MotoGP
Bagnaia talked about the relationship with Quartararo and Espargaró
Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia, who is in the race for the MotoGP title along with Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo and Aprilia centaur Aleix Espargaró, spoke after the first free practice session at Japan’s Motegi circuit about his relationship with his rivals in the title race.
“We are smart riders, not to say it wasn’t like that before. There is a lot of respect between us and we all know what you have to do to be at this level. At home we have to work hard to get here and have a very high level of concentration, but also physical. So the respect between us is very high and I think that’s why we have a good relationship,” explained the Ducatista.
“We are not friends, we are rivals but with respect. If we have to talk, we talk. If we want to joke, we do it. This is something that has changed a lot over the years. For me it’s better, because then we don’t spite each other on the track, for example,” Bagnaia continued.
