Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo: “It was a frustrating Grand Prix.”

Yamaha centaur Fabio Quartararo goes to +18 on Pecco Bagnaia after the Ducati rider’s crash in the finale of the Japanese Grand Prix but is not satisfied with his performance: “I expected a better race, especially in terms of pace. Instead I couldn’t overtake, and I felt that many other riders couldn’t either. I did the whole race behind Maverick, but I expected to have more grip,” explained the MotoGp world champion.

“I didn’t even try to overtake, and that’s the thing that makes me the most frustrated, but in the end we took some points, even if doing a race like that was not pleasant.” On Bagnaia’s crash: “I didn’t see Pecco, but I heard him fall, so I think he didn’t fall that far from me. I knew he was coming.”
