Malta: Devis Mangia suspended
Case breaks out: Devis Mangia will not be on the bench for the test against Israel.
Malta coach Devis Mangia has been temporarily relieved of his duties for an “alleged violation” of Federation policies. The Lombard coach, formerly of Palermo, Spezia, Bari and Ascoli, has given his full availability to shed light on the matter.
“Devis Mangia has been temporarily relieved of his duties as head coach of the national teams following a report he received on an alleged violation of his policies,” is the Maltese Federation’s note. Mangia has given his full availability for the investigation of the facts in question. The Federation will not comment further until the next steps are discussed within the respective decision-making bodies in an open and transparent manner.” Mangia, who has been managing Malta since 2019, will therefore not be on the bench for the Nations League match against Israel.
