Adriano Galliani peremptory on the fate of San Siro
“San Siro can’t be renovated,” the Brianza executive said.
On the very day when the public debate was opened on the construction of the new Milanese stadium that is to take the place of the legendary San Siro, Adriano Galliani, current Monza CEO but the man of the house of the ‘Scala of soccer,’ had his say as he exited the League Assembly held in Milan. Here are his words.
“I am not for the demolition of San Siro, but for the construction of a new stadium. All over Europe there are beautiful stadiums, San Siro cannot be renovated. A new stadium is needed, I don’t know what to do with the old San Siro,” the former Rossoneri manager began, “Would I have agreed to share the stadium with Inter? Yes, necessarily. By now the fans coexist peacefully. You make the same revenues with half the costs,” Galliani concluded.
