Quartararo in hunt for points in Thai Grand Prix

Fabio Quartararo, Yamaha team rider and current leader in the riders’ standings with an impressive 219 points, was among the protagonists at the usual press conference ahead of the sporting weekend, held in Buriram.

‘El Diablo’ opened with a thought about the Grand Prix just past: “In Japan I could not overtake, although our pace was quite good. Here I think we can manage to bring home a good result, both in the dry and in the wet, although the first two sectors will not smile on us. In braking we are quite strong especially with the new chassis, at Motegi maybe I was a little too aggressive on the ride and at Motegi in the wet it didn’t work.”

He later added, “We have the same bike from the beginning of the year, we have a new chassis but there are no big changes. For 2023 we will have more performance from the engine and they are working on further evolution.”

“The last wet session was PL2 in Motegi, there was spinning on the straight, something dangerous. Both aquaplaning, but also when you chase others it’s dangerous because you can’t see anything. The track was really wet today, then it dried quickly,” concluded the transalpine centaur.
