Inter coach Simone Inzaghi spoke after the loss to Roma

Inter’s heavy home defeat against Roma casts a shadow on Simone Inzaghi’s bench. These are the words of the coach from Piacenza after the knockout: “Exoneration? Difficult square, but with extraordinary fans. Every week we are at risk, but I had a great response from the team. We have to work more on the episodes, at the first we got a goal from Dybala and at the second we were slow,” he told Dazn.

Inter are on their third defeat in four games, “Worried? Absolutely yes, I was more worried after the Udine game, however, the points are the same. It’s a defeat that hurts, in our stadium, after a game in my opinion: the best of the eight played, but right now it’s not enough because we came out defeated 2-1 against a direct competitor.”

As if that were not enough, there are also problems for Lukaku: “Will he recover for Sassuolo? There is some hope, but I am not confident. He has had a slowdown, we were thinking of including him in the group as we did with Calhanoglu, unfortunately he had an exam and has not been able to rejoin the group yet. He is working with the physiotherapists and doctors, it is an absence that weighs, however, it is soccer: we have him, Brozovic and Gagliardini out, we are few with so many games.”
