Ducati, in addition to Pecco Bagnaia on the shields also Zarco: Dall’Igna’s praise
There is great satisfaction at Borgo Panigale.
Pecco Bagnaia is back in contention for the World Championship after the Thai Grand Prix, with Ducati not winning this time (first came Miguel Oliveira on KTM), but once again working compactly to protect the Piedmontese centaur. This was demonstrated by the performance of Johann Zarco, whom Gigi Dall’Igna publicly praised.
The Frenchman of the Pramac team finished at the foot of the podium, fourth ahead of Marc Marquez’s Honda. And, at the microphones of ‘Sky Sport,’ Dall’Igna also dwelt on his test with very important words: “Zarco did an incredible job on Marquez. I was really afraid that Marc could ruin our plans, but instead he was amazing.”
Bagnaia’s podium, however, is very important in itself, and Dall’Igna clearly emphasized this: “This third place is equivalent to a victory for us. Pecco ran a race with great coolness, he was great.” Ahead of Bagnaia (now just two points behind championship leader Fabio Quartararo) and behind Oliveira was Jack Miller on the other factory Ducati.
