Max Biaggi doesn’t forgive and hunts two for Aragon stunt
Max Biaggi doesn’t discount: drastic decision
Through an official statement, the Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max Racing team has decided to torpedo the two mechanics who had hindered Fernandez in Aragon: “Following the unjustifiable episode, which involved two components of the Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max Racing, during the qualifying of the Grand Prix of Aragon, we communicate that we have prematurely terminated the collaboration between the individuals concerned and our Team.”
“The two subjects in question, during qualifying 2 of the Animoca Brands De Aragòn Grand Prix, obstructed the exit from the pits of rider Adriàn Fernàndez, in an aggressive and dangerous way. Right from the start we took action to offer our apologies to Adriàn Fernàndez and the Tech3 KTM Team, but we also made it clear that we would unconditionally punish those responsible for such a gesture,” the note concludes.
Max Biaggi commented on the decision as follows, “I have personally followed and coordinated the procedure of putting on notice the two members of my Team, responsible for the facts to the detriment of rider Adrian Fernandez and Team Tech3 KTM. After officially asking the interested parties for clarifications and justifications for what happened, in compliance with the contractual requirements, we arrived at the unfortunate but inevitable epilogue.
“As a Team we feel that we must completely separate our way from those who are guilty of unsportsmanlike behavior, as well as contrary to rules and regulations. Such an act cannot and must not go unpunished, nor pass in silence. The image damage caused to us is immeasurable.”
