Novak Djokovic completes the task in Tel Aviv
Djokovic wins Tel Aviv tournament
Novak Djokovic won the Tel Aviv ATP, taking the final against Marin Cilic in two sets that lasted a total of 95 minutes of play.
6-3, 6-4 were the partials in favor of the Serb, who won the indoor tournament on Israeli cement without losing a single set in the four matches he participated in. In the previous rounds, Nole had eliminated Andujar, Pospisil and Safiullin.
For Djokovic, coming off a lackluster Laver Cup experience, this is a return to success in an ATP tournament for the first time since his Wimbledon triumph. After the London tournament he had not participated in the North American rounds of the world tour (including the U.S. Open), returning to the court only at the super-tournament that featured Roger Federer, in his last professional outing.
