Napoli overflowing: tennis goleada at home to Ajax
Ajax – Napoli 1-6 on the third day of Champions League Group A
Expecting the European test, in the fascinating setting of the Johan Cruijff Arena, Napoli showed off another outstanding performance, dominating and even winning 1-6 at home to Ajax.
The locals’ opening goal, scored by Kudus, can only be considered episodic on an evening that the partenopei dominated far and wide. Already at the end of the first half, the scoreboard read 1-3 thanks to goals by Raspadori, who signed the equalizer, and goals by Di Lorenzo and Zielinski, right at the end of the half. In between many other chances for the Azzurri, with an unmitigated but sometimes selfish Kvaratskhelia.
In the second half, the music did not change: after 2′ it was again the ex-Sassuolo striker who put his signature on the match, followed then, in the 63′, by the same Georgian, good at closing a perfect triangle again with Raspadori.
From here on it is pure academy for the Spalletti gang, which also finds a way, after Dusan Tadic’s sacrosanct and belated expulsion, to score the sixth goal with Cholito Simeone. After three days Napoli is on full points in Group A, followed by Liverpool, victorious at Anfield against Rangers, on six points.
