F1, budget cap: the statement of the FIA

All Formula 1 insiders and fans were anxiously awaiting the FIA’s decision about the alleged budget cap violations by Aston Martin and Red Bull. Unfortunately, however, everything has been postponed until October 10.

The FIA note: “The FIA informs that the conclusion of the analysis of the Formula 1 teams’ 2021 financial requests and the subsequent issuance of certificates of compliance with the financial regulations will not take place on Wednesday, October 5. The analysis of the financial requests is a long and complex process that is ongoing and will be concluded to allow the Certificates to be issued on Monday, October 10.”

“The financial regulations have been unanimously approved by all competitors, who have worked positively and cooperatively with the administration of the FIA spending cap during this first year under the financial regulations. As previously communicated, there has been significant and unfounded speculation and conjecture in relation to this matter, and FIA reiterates that until it is finalized no further information will be provided,” the writing concludes.
