Cagliari, Stefano Capozucca points out his favorites for promotion to Serie A

The sporting director of the red and bluebirds points to the favorites for the A series

Cagliari’s sporting director Stefano Capozucca spoke to the ‘Secolo XIX,’ taking stock of the favorites for promotion to Serie A.

The D.S. of the Rossoblù indicated who he thinks will go up in the top flight at the end of the season: “There are two favorites, Genoa and Parma: they are the strongest. Cagliari is in the group of teams that can fight for Serie A but there is a lot of competition: Frosinone, Brescia, Reggina, the same Venezia that in the last round beat us decisively at home.”

On the eighth day of the cadet championship, the island side will face Genoa, Capozucca’s former club, where he served as sporting director from 2004 to 2012 but also in 2014-15 and 2019.

“Genoa is Genoa. But I am doing well in Cagliari and I would like to give the president and the fans Serie A,” the Cagliari manager continued.
