Olimpia’s new point guard dreams big for league and Euroleague
Olimpia Milano is ready for the debut of the Euroleague season, which will see Ettore Messina’s men engaged on the parquet of the French Lyon-Villeurbanne.
Speaking about the first game in Europe’s top competition, the meneghini’s new point guard Kevin Pangos, former Barcelona, Zenit St. Petersburg and Zalgiris Kaunas among others, said, “In Barcelona there were expectations of victory, but it’s not that it was different at Zenit, in that locker room we all believed. And at Zalgiris as well. Here, for sure, we have a very good chance, with this club and this roster, to do something great, although the EuroLeague is special because there are so many teams worth the title, the differences are minimal.”
Finally, the Canadian player gave his opinion on coach Ettore Messina: “He is an intense coach. And that’s a great quality. He wants to win, it’s a contagious thing. I like playing for a coach who pushes us to the limit, who has a vision of what he wants from each of us in seven to nine months.”
