On Saturday Vincenzo Nibali will make his last appearance in professional cycling by participating in the Giro di Lombardia, a monumental Classica that he has won twice in his extraordinary career, in 2015 and 2017. But the Shark also has in his palmares two editions of the Cycling Stars Criterium: the first, held in 2017 in Montebelluna, and the last, the one in Valdobbiadene last May 30, where with a finisseur action he detached all rivals arriving with his arms raised in Piazza Marconi.

The relationship between the champion from Messina and the kermesse has been special from the beginning .Since that first time in Montebelluna that saw him as the winner, in fact, his participation has never been missed. He was present again in Montebelluna in 2018, then in Belluno in 2019 and 2021, until this year in the Valdobbiadene stage.

Having among its start list a rider of Nibali’s caliber has always been a source of pride and pride for the Cycling Stars Criterium, not only for his sporting achievements but also for the human qualities he has demonstrated both on and off the course throughout his years as a professional.
