Matteo Berrettini prepares to receive an important award
Berrettini will receive the keys to the city from the mayor of Florence
At the Atp 250 tournament in Florence, which will be held between Oct. 10 and 16, Matteo Berrettini will try to earn crucial points in order to still hope for access to the Atp Finals.
The Tuscan capital, which has not hosted this tournament in 28 years, will also feature Lorenzo Musetti, as the No. 3 seed on the draw, and Lorenzo Sonego, while the Roman will be the No. 2 seed, behind Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, No. 13 in the Atp rankings. Absent is Jannik Sinner due to an ankle injury suffered in the semifinals at the Sofia tournament.
During the first day of the tournament, Monday, Oct. 10, Matteo Berrettini will be a guest at the Artemio Franchi stadium during the championship match between Fiorentina and Lazio and will receive an important award. The tennis player will be presented with the keys to the city of Florence, right from the hands of Mayor Dario Nardella.
In fact, Berrettini, despite being born and raised in Rome, has always been a fan of the lily club thanks to his paternal grandfather, a native of Florence.
