For the former Ferrari driver, it is the last time on such an iconic track as Suzuka

Happy with the top 10 place he got in qualifying, a little less so in realizing that Sunday’s will be his last race at a circuit that has made history in the last 35 years in Formula 1 like Suzuka: this is how one can sum up the Saturday of Sebastian Vettel, who did not hide mixed feelings to the microphones of ‘Sky Sports Uk’, at the conclusion of Saturday’s qualifying in which he earned ninth place at the wheel of his Aston Martin.

“Performances like today’s make me … Not loaded with regrets because I want to look forward, but a little bit sad,” said the former Ferrari driver, “because this is the last time I will race here.

“We are a long way from the first position,” Vettel added, “but the feeling in the car was very good with the new tires and the light car.
