Arrigoni unlocks Como, new draw for Fabio Cannavaro’s Benevento
A long-awaited success, and a new tie.
On Sunday afternoon in Serie B, Como got unblocked: the Como outfit, at the eighth attempt, found its first win of the season: a 1-0 win that put Perugia in trouble. In Bolzano, meanwhile, it ended 1-1 between Südtirol and Benevento, with Fabio Cannavaro also drawing his second on the Giallorossi bench.
At the Sinigaglia stadium, the hosts make themselves preferred since the early stages of the match, against a Perugia in great difficulty: decisive is then Arrigoni, who at 34′ sends in the net the ball worked by Vignali and then Blanco. In the second half, Como exulted for Cutrone’s possible double, but VAR cancelled for offside. Umbri now last in the standings on 4 points, with the day’s rivals up to 6. The standings of Südtirol (on 11 points, on the edge of the playoff zone) and Benevento (which rises to 9) also move up: host advantage in the 39th minute through Pastina, timely to find the goal on Ciano’s free kick. Zaro equalizes in the 84th minute on Casiraghi’s cross.
