For the Blaugrana coach with Inter Milan, it’s already a final

Xavi to “BarçaTV” presented the challenge with Inter calling it a final, in fact if Simone Inzaghi’s men get the better of them, Barcelona could no longer qualify for the next phase of the Champions League.

The Blaugrana coach spoke this way about the Camp Nou challenge, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12: “For us it’s like a final, that’s why we will give our lives to stay in the running for qualification. It’s certainly not nice to be in this situation but we have the qualities to do well and come out of it. We rely a lot on the boost from the Camp Nou crowd, which will have to be a volcano. There is a lot of desire for revenge after what happened in San Siro.”

The coach of the Catalan side also analyzed the match from a tactical point of view: “I expect a very similar match to Milan, they defend low normally. We have alternatives and we have tried them, to try to attack better. We have to be brave, go on the attack: it’s a final for us and we can’t make mistakes. We lost in Munich and we lost in Milan, we hope to have a magical night with the help of our fans.”

On the result, the former Barcelona’s own midfielder sentenced, “Do I sign for 1-0? No, I would like a 2-0. I’m not signing. If you make me choose, better 2-0.”

The Nerazzurri club has boasted the title of champion of Italy nineteen times, the last of which was in 2021, when Antonio Conte was at the helm. The first Scudetto came in 1910, the first Champions Cup in 1964, duplicated immediately the following year. With Jose Mourinho on the bench, in 2010, the ‘Beneamata’ raised the cup with the big ears for the third time by knocking out Bayern Munich in the final.
