Remco Evenepoel wants to compete in the Giro d’Italia. The Belgian cyclist’s 2022 has been fantastic, winning two world medals, including one gold medal, and with success at the Vuelta, but now the 2000-year-old wants to take more satisfaction.

The Belgian spoke to “Het Laatste Nieuws,” revealing his intentions for next season: “Obviously when I choose the Grand Tour I will also have to take into account the two team sprinters. At the moment, however, we can share them without any problems.”

“The Tour de France mission will soon take priority. One day I plan to win that as well: it is the ultimate dream. This does not exclude an intermediate step in 2023. For now, the Giro d’Italia looks very good,” continued the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team rider.
