Spal, Daniele De Rossi is honest: “I have to get used to it.”

Daniele De Rossi, spoke in the press conference on the eve of the challenge between Spal and Cittadella, the former midfielder’s first on the bench of the Estense club.

The former Roma player said, “These days have been perfect, but now we start with the matches and the stress will go up: I will have to make choices that in my life I have never made, that is, who to play, put someone out that is something that bothers me, but if I want to do this job I have to get used to it.”

“The team so far has taken a little too many goals: we have taken countermeasures, let’s see if they will work. The important thing will be to defend all together, also mentally,” the newly appointed Spal coach continued.

“If there is grit on the pitch it won’t be thanks to me, in three days you can’t change the character of the players, but from the way they have welcomed me and my staff they are good people. And that in life matters,” De Rossi concluded.

After being on Mancini’s staff during Euro 2020, the 2006 world champion is about to start a new adventure with the Estense club. Spal currently occupies the 14th position in the Serie B standings.
