Great show of character for women’s Italvolley who, despite the criticism and pressure of the last few days, manage to beat the United States 3-0 (25-20; 25-15; 27-25) and earn a much-deserved bronze.
Dragging the Azzura women is above all Paola Egonu, protagonist of a crazy match closed with 25 points, but Miriam Sylla and Anna Danesi also churned out exceptional shots. A show of strength of absolute value that allows coach Mazzanti’s girls to remain on the rainbow podium after the silver medal won in 2018.
