Ducati, Casey Stoner to leg it on the World Cup: ‘He made life difficult for himself’
Former Ducati’s Casey Stoner puts Quartararo in his sights: ‘Now it’s hard for him, he’s struggled so much’
Former Ducati centaur Casey Stoner, who was present at Phillip Island for the Australian Grand Prix, spoke to Sky’s microphones about the MotoGP title race, which sees Fabio Quartararo and Pecco Bagnaia almost paired in first and second place in the overall standings.
“Bagnaia is a great rider,” he explained, “He is young and has great respect for everyone. This is something that not all riders do, they usually have a lot of pride that prevents them from asking things of others.”
According to Stoner, Quartararo is in a difficult situation: “It is hard for him now, however, maybe he has made life difficult for himself as well. His results from mid-season onwards have been quite bad, he has struggled a lot even if not always through his own fault.”
