MotoGp Ducati, Di Giannantonio: “Far behind.”
Ducati Gresini team centaur Di Giannantonio: “At least with the race pace we are in good shape.”
Team Ducati Gresini centaur Fabio Di Giannantonio bitterly commented on his 20th place in qualifying for the Australian GP: “Surely we should and could have done better in qualifying: unfortunately we were a little late in finding the best setting and in Q1 we were not quite ready. Tomorrow we will try to make a comeback, although we are far behind.”
To console the Ducatista, the race pace: “I must say that with the race pace we are in good shape. Both with the M and the hard, tried today, we have a good feeling and we can be satisfied.”
After six titles won by Valentino Rossi in eight years it was the Spanish riders who took the lion’s share of the MotoGp world championship. From 2012 to 2020 only they have won, with Jorge Lorenzo a two-time world champion, Marc Marquez (6) and Joan Mir, triumphant in 2020 with his Suzuki.
