MotoGp, Marc Marquez doesn’t mince words: ‘I stuck to Bagnaia’
Honda rider Marc Marquez hopeful in Australia: “The podium is possible”
Honda rider Marc Marquez commented on his second-best time in Australian Grand Prix qualifying: “I watched the Ducati. I stuck to Pecco, the fastest in the straights, this helped us a lot.”
On the race: “On my own the pace is good, I’m fine physically and slowly I feel better and better and that’s the important thing. The pace, as I said, is good but still not good enough because that of the Ducatis is very consistent. Let’s see how it is, it will be important to choose the tire behind and realistically I can fight for the top 5. If everything goes as it should, if we do things perfectly, we can also fight for the podium.”
On feelings about next season: “I don’t want to say whether I will be able to fight for the title in 2023 because there are still three races left and then the whole winter, so a lot can happen. Only when you try the 2023 bike and see what others have done will you be able to think about the goals for next season, for now the most important thing is to see that Honda is working, and I like that very much.”
