Simone Inzaghi’s Inter also responds in attendance at San Siro

Inter returns to victory at the San Siro in the league, which had been missing since September 10 against Torino.

The Nerazzurri controlled the match without much fuss and managed to impose themselves on Davide Nicola’s men thanks to goals scored by Lautaro Martinez in the first half and Nicolò Barella in the second half.

The Nerazzurri team started strong right away and went through in the 14th thanks to a goal from outside the box by Lautaro, served right by Barella. For Toro, it was the return to scoring in Serie A after his last one, scored on August 30 in the home match against Cremonese. Simone Inzaghi’s men and came close to doubling the score several times, with the usual Argentine, but we go back to the locker room on the score of 1-0.

In the second, the script of the match does not change. Salernitana plays openly trying to bother the Meneghina rearguard but Inter imposes its game and with a great action finds the doubling in the 58th: Calhanoglu’s throw after Mkhitaryan’s heel, Barella realizes a great hook in the box and beats the granata extreme defender.

The challenge continued without giving the impression of being able to change face: in fact, Inzaghi’s players managed the result, even trying to round it off with the new entrants, including the recovered Correa, but without being able to get past Sepe again.

Inter thus moves up to 18 points in the standings, taking them still ahead of Juventus, following the Bianconeri’s victory in Saturday’s derby against Torino.
