Mick Schumacher landed in Haas owner’s crosshairs: “He’s not Verstappen…”
Mick Schumacher falls victim to friendly fire: new criticism has come from Haas against the German driver, who still does not know whether he will remain at the U.S. team next season.
This time it was owner Gene Haas himself to the Associated Press who went down hard: “We need Mick to bring some points and we are trying to give him as much time as possible to see what he can do. I think Mick has great potential, but know that he costs a fortune and has wrecked a lot of cars that cost us a lot of money that we don’t have.”
“Now, if you bring us points and you’re Verstappen and you destroy cars we can live with that. But if you’re in the back and you destroy cars, then it becomes very difficult,” Haas concluded. Schumacher is 16th in the overall standings, with 12 points gained since the start of the season.
