Ducati, surprise words from Danilo Petrucci on Quartararo and Bagnaia
Danilo Petrucci: “Fabio? I hold a little for him…”
Danilo Petrucci in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport analyzed the dominance in MotoGp of Ducati, which has won 11 of the 18 Grands Prix so far: “It was unthinkable until a few months ago to see one rider fighting against seven Ducatis and, above all, that Ducati was so superior and Yamaha so suffering. Quartararo has shown something more this year than anyone else, on the one hand I also hold for him because I see David against Goliath.”
According to Petrucci, Gigi Dall’Igna has been fundamental to Ducati’s current golden moment: “His ideas were copied by everyone. He made us try things we didn’t understand, but thousandths here and thousandths there came the title tenths,” explained the Terni centaur, who participated in MotoAmerica precisely with Ducati, finishing second in his first participation.
