MotoGp, Marco Bezzecchi bets on weather for qualifying
Marco Bezzecchi bets on the weather
Marco Bezzecchi made some statements at the end of the first day of free practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix, which was marked by uncertain weather.
The Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider set the thirteenth fastest time (2’09″992) in FP2, but on the strength of the excellent lap recorded in the first free practice session, despite an early crash, he finished tenth in the combined standings, behind teammate Luca Marini.
The Rimini centaur spoke thus at the end of FP2: “Not a perfect start in FP1 with the slip right at the beginning of the session, but then good feelings and a significant lap time. In FP2 we lapped in the wet: not bad, I needed a session like that because in the last GPs we struggled in these conditions and we needed to try some new solutions. I hope for good weather tomorrow so we can work well on the race pace.”
