MotoGp, Ducati: Enea Bastianini fabulous in Sepang. And he still believes in it
Bastianini ended qualifying in second place, only behind Jorge Martin
Enea Bastianini charmed in the qualifying day of the Malaysian Grand Prix. At the Sepang circuit, the Team Gresini centaur set the second best time, surrendering only to Jorge Martin. This is the fifth front row in the season for the Beast who in Malaysia is confirmed to be really competitive given that in the February tests he had set the best time ever, also setting the track record.
On the dry asphalt, the rider from Rimini proved to have a very good pace and on Sunday, weather permitting, he will be able to experience a starring race, starting from second position.
Bastianini spoke thus after hitting the front row: “Very hot day today, but my feelings were very good already this morning. We made an important step on the front and from there on everything went according to plan. In FP4 we tried the medium on the front again, which we then took advantage of in qualifying as well. It will be a good battle tomorrow with Jorge and it won’t be easy to try to win. The math doesn’t condemn us, but I just want to think about the race.”
