Alvaro Bautista may become champion in Indonesia
Alvaro Bautista won race-2 of the Argentine Round of the 2022 World Sbk Championship: the Spanish veteran thus gave himself a first chance to become world champion, riding his Ducati Panigale V4R, in the next Round, in Indonesia, scheduled for mid-November.
After winning race-1 and finishing second in race-2 behind his main rival for the World Championship, Toprak Razgatlioglu, Bautista took race-2 at the San Juan circuit, just ahead of the Turkish Yamaha rider. In third place, however, was Jonathan Rea, who snatched the podium from Kawasaki teammate Alex Lowes.
Bautista may drop 19 points, overall, in Indonesia: in fact, he will need 63 to be arithmetically world champion after Indonesia.
