F1, Carlos Sainz is not quiet after pole in Austin
One Ferrari success in Austin
In nine editions, Ferrari has won the GP of the Americas only once (2018, with Raikkonen). Today (race starting at 9 p.m.), Sainz will have a great chance to lead the Prancing Horse to triumph, starting from pole position, ahead of World Champion Verstappen.
“Fortunately, I had a good lap without making any mistakes. I’ve been waiting for pole position for a long time. I’m not going to lie, I think Red Bull is the favorite. They have a better race pace and in the race they are normally superior to us also because Max does a great job. But we will try to do everything to stay in front and try to win the race,” his words after the pole position in Austin.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One world championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance world championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
