Ducati: Alvaro Bautista clarifies outburst over Dani Pedrosa
Alvauro Bautista, leader of the World Superbike Championship, returned to the outburst in which he cited Pedrosa
Ducati centaur Alvaro Bautista, leader of the Superbike World Championship, after his victory in the round in Argentina, which allowed him to mortgage the world title, lashed out at those who say he wins only because of the Ducati engine: “People who follow racing know my value well. If I win only because of the bike engine, why hasn’t Pedrosa won many races in MotoGp?”
The next day the Spanish rider wanted to clarify on social media his exit about the former Honda centaur: “I want to clarify statements about a comment in which I mentioned Dani Pedrosa. I would never compare myself to him. I only wanted to comment on those who say I win because I am small and light: if it were only for that reason, then for example Dani would have won the MotoGp World Championships in a carriage. Instead, unfortunately, that is not the case because many times our weight gives more disadvantages than advantages. I don’t care what people think, just by riding these bikes you can understand the extra effort we small riders have to make up for that lack of “handling” that the bigger riders have. It’s not just the straights.”
