Izan Guevara, fresh from winning the Moto3 world championship title, spoke to Marca and also dwelt on the unwieldy comparison with Valentino Rossi. Gino Borsoi, interviewed by the same Iberian media, had said that the boy reminds him a lot of the ‘Doctor,’ not only in talent but also in the way of life in the paddock and character.

“It’s very flattering to be compared to Valentino Rossi,” Guevara said, “I wish I could catch up with him, but it’s very difficult because he has raised the bar very high. However, it is very flattering to be compared to a champion and a person of his level.”

“Yes, I am a fan of Marc Marquez, I have been since I was a child,” added the cadet class champion. “Now I see him differently: he is my idol and that is what I want to aspire to. Marc has done a great job to be able to get back on the bike, I can only congratulate him on his comeback, for being on the podium in so few races.”
