Cantù, Meo Sacchetti calls for more aggression
Meo Sacchetti wants his people to be more aggressive
Cantù Basketball coach Meo Sacchetti presented in a press conference the challenge against Trapani, the fifth day of the A2 Series scheduled for Sunday, October 30, at 5 p.m.
The Canturini come from a win against Treviglio on the last day while the Sicilian club is coming off a loss against Urania Milano.
The Biancoblù coach made his debut, taking stock of the unavailable players: “Giovanni Severini has been training. Every now and then we have to give breaks to players who have some aches and pains, but we should all be there, excluding Francesco Stefanelli. We are not yet able to be dominant. Even against Gruppo Mascio Treviglio we suffered at the beginning of the second half. We have to fight with everyone and not feel that we are stronger. I would like the team to go to the basket more. I want to see a team that runs more. Little by little we will also loosen up more on offense and hit on the counterattack.”
“As for Stefan Nikolic, he has significant physical potential and there is no doubt that he is playing well,” Meo continued. “He should not be satisfied because he still has room for improvement. From now on he has to maintain this status as an important player. I think he still has a lot of hunger, the championship is long.
I have enormous respect for teams like Trapani who play with a tough face. If we could capture some of the aggressiveness that these teams show it would be a great thing,” Sacchetti concluded.
