Lorenzo Sonego prevailed over Joao Sousa

Lorenzo Sonego passes the first qualifying round of the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000 and will play the main draw against Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands.

The Turin native won in two sets over Portuguese opponent Joao Sousa, with a score of 6-4 7-6, in one hour and 37 minutes.

Good performance for Sonego, who, on the French indoor concrete, never lost his service turn and netted ten aces.

On Sunday, October 30, the 1995 class will try to enter the main draw where, for Italy, there are already Jannik Sinner, Matteo Berrettini and Lorenzo Musetti.

The term ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) refers to the association that groups all male professional tennis players from all corners of the world. The ATP’s primary task is to protect the interests of the players and also to organize essential services, such as, for example, the drafting of the world ranking, called the ATP ranking, and tournament scheduling.
