Adriano Panatta outspoken about Carlos Alcaraz

In an interview with “Giorno-Carlino,” Adriano Panatta gave his opinion on world number one Carlos Alcaraz, winner of the last Us Open.

“Personally, he conveys almost nothing to me at the tennis level, but he has two unquestionable qualities: he is extremely strong and continuous,” the former Italian tennis player commented thus, confessing that he is not admired by the playing style of the Murcian talent.

“He can win many Slams,” Panatta concluded, nevertheless acknowledging the Iberian tennis player’s strength and consistency.

After an irresistible rise Carlos Alcaraz in 2022 won his first Grand Slam title, at the US Open. With the victory in the U.S., he gained the first position in the Atp rankings, becoming the youngest tennis player in history to succeed in the feat, at the age of 19 years 4 months and 7 days.
