Arsenal: nice gesture for Pablo Marí after goal
The Gunners celebrated by dedicating the goal to the Monza defender who was stabbed in Assago
Arsenal’s special dedication to Monza defender Pablo Marì, on loan from the Gunners themselves. Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli, who scored in the 5th minute in the Premier League match against Nottingham, celebrated the goal by showing the jersey of his former teammate, now in Italy.
With him to display Pablo Marì’s number 22 jersey, the entire Arsenal team also did. The Spaniard, discharged Sunday from Niguarda Hospital in Milan, underwent back surgery after being stabbed by a deranged man in a shopping center in Assago. He will have to observe a two-month stop before returning to the field.
Meanwhile, Monza let it be known that a minute’s silence will be observed before the whistle blows for the match with Bologna on Monday night at the U-Power Stadium to remember Luis Fernando Ruggieri, the victim of the Assago attacker. In the pre-match warm-up, the Biancorossi will wear a T-shirt dedicated to Pablo Marí.
