Lorenzo Musetti continued his run at the Paris-Bercy tournament, the last Masters 1000 of the season. The Carrara tennis player folded Georgian Basilashvili in the second round in two quick sets 6-4, 6-2, confirming that he is currently the most in-form Italian tennis player.
L’Azzurro won and convinced again, highlighting his growth on serve against a tough opponent. After the initial balance of the first set, Musetti took off by making his talent count, and the second partial was never in question.
In the round of 16 of the Paris tournament Musetti will face a top ten player, Casper Ruud, an insurmountable opponent on paper: it will be crucial to keep up the level of his tennis to get the better of the Norwegian world number three.
