GeVi Napoli, Simone Zanotti has the challenge against Reyer in his sights
Zanotti is thrilled with the warmth of Naples and prepares for the challenge against Venice
Simone Zanotti, a player of Gevi Napoli Basket, spoke on the ‘Time-Out’ broadcast on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli Tv.
The 1992 callse forward first spoke about the Neapolitan environment and the team: “We are training well, we are building a lot but we need to improve the aspects that cost us the loss to Trieste. We did not defend well in the decisive moments of the game, we should have done better on offense. We conceded too much to our opponents. In Naples I found a very warm crowd, there is a very nice environment that gives a lot of energy to us players. Our fans are really the sixth man on the court. All teams in this league will experience ups and downs, the level has risen a lot, you can win and lose against anyone. The attitude with which we take the field is crucial. We have to be aggressive from the start. Results will come if we show the right determination.”
Then, about the game against Reyer Venezia, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6, he said, “I believe a lot in the weekly work, which is very important in view of Sunday’s game. There is still a lot to build. In a talented team like ours it is important that everyone is involved, we are working on that. We have a lot of weapons at our disposal, however, we need to improve on some aspects both on offense and defense. Venice is a very organized team , they have known each other for many years. De Raffaele is a very experienced coach who has been coaching Reyer for a long time. We have to focus on us, preparing the game well. I don’t fear backlash after the game against Trieste. you always have to start from scratch, after a win or after a loss. We have ample room for growth. Naples is a very special city. I am getting used to living here. There are wonderful places.”
