Silvio Berlusconi also says no to the demolition of San Siro. And he does so through a message posted on his own social media. “In relation to the issue of the project to demolish the San Siro stadium in Milan, I join the chorus of protest from cultural figures, representatives of institutions, fans, ordinary citizens,” writes the former Milan president.
“The Stadium, with its 70 years of life, should be protected and safeguarded; it is part of Milan’s history and the history of Italian soccer. Tearing it down would mean depriving the city of a monument, its symbol, its identifying element in Italy and the world,” Berlusconi adds.
