Daniel Maldini punishes “his” Milan in front of the San Siro crowd
Daniel Maldini’s first league goal came just against AC Milan
It was shaping up to be a special night for Daniel Maldini, and indeed it was: fielded from the 1′ by Spezia coach Luca Gotti (it hadn’t happened yet since his arrival at the Aquilotti), Paolo’s son scored right in front of the San Siro crowd and precisely against “his” Milan a goal (a fine right-footer capable of putting Tatarusanu out of action) that was useful in equalizing the one scored in the first half by Theo Hernandez.
For Maldini Jr. it was his first league goal with the Ligurian club’s jersey: he had previously scored a goal in the Coppa Italia last August 6 against Como, shortly after arriving on loan from the Rossoneri club.
Despite the goal conceded, the San Siro crowd gave the young striker a round of applause as he left the field to make way for Verde, among other things just as referee Fabbri was going to on-field review to verify (and then cancel) the goal scored by Sandro Tonali in the 65th minute.
