MotoGp Ducati: Pecco Bagnaia in tears, Valentino Rossi’s touching gesture
Pecco Bagnaia is MotoGp world champion
Ducati delirium in Valencia, where Pecco Bagnaia became world champion, bringing the riders’ title back to the Borgo Panigale stable for the first time since Casey Stoner in 2007.
At the end of the race Bagnaia stopped on the track, bursting into tears, and was immediately congratulated by rival Fabio Quartararo and Enea Bastianini. The Piedmontese rider was joined on the track by his family, Ducati mechanics, the VR46 Academy boys and especially Valentino Rossi, who hugged him happily.
More than two hundred on the track to celebrate Pecco: a collective hug for a historic feat, he is the first Italian rider to graduate champion with an Italian bike in the premier class 50 years after Agostini. Bagnaia wore the T-shirt with which he celebrated the title, then celebrated with the tricolor.
