Joan Mir undergoes surgery

Joan Mir has decided to have surgery. After the Malaysian Grand Prix in which he experienced nerve problems in his right arm, the Spanish rider had decided to wait until the last race in Valencia to see whether or not surgery was necessary. Although during the Valencia GP Mir did not experience pain again, he still had discomfort that led him to choose surgery.

“I had tingling in the fingers of my hand during the last five laps. It’s nothing that affected my riding, which I’m happy about, but I felt something, a sensation that I didn’t like. I will explain to the doctor what we can do,” said the MotoGp world champion in 2020.

“I would like to undergo surgery, without knowing about medicine. For the feelings I had, I think we should solve the problem by going under the knife,” Mir concluded, as reported by Motorsport.com.

In any case, the Majorcan rider will still be at the start of the Valencia tests in which he will try his bike for the first time, in his new adventure with the Honda team.
