Tegola for Senegal: their brightest star hurts his knee
Heavily affected Senegal two weeks before the start of the Qatar 2022 World Cup: Sadio Mané, Bayern Munich striker and undisputed star of the African selection, hurt his knee during the league match against Werder Bremen.
Mané, who would have been among the stars of the Middle East rainbow review, underwent tests in the morning that revealed a tendon problem, according to L’Equipe: the stop will be long, and so the World Cup bye is assured.
African Footballer of the Year in 2019 and 2022, the former Liverpool man has scored 34 goals in 92 games with Senegal.
