The operation was successful.
Stefano Sensi underwent surgery following the fracture suffered Sunday during the match with Verona. The surgery, as Monza explained in an official statement issued on Wednesday, was successful.
This afternoon,” Monza reported, “Stefano Sensi underwent surgery to reduce the malleolus-peroneal fracture suffered during the Monza-Hellas Verona match played last Sunday. The surgery, performed at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano by Dr. Lorenzo Di Mento, assisted by Professor Piero Volpi and in the presence of the AC Monza medical staff, was perfectly successful.”
“The player is well and will return home tomorrow,” Monza added. In recent days Sensi himself had spoken about his injury on Instagram. “I am a very lucky guy, I have everything from life: a family that loves me, I do the best job in the world and there are many people who love me. Unfortunately, these accidents, they happen; I will try to be close to my teammates from the outside as well and I will do everything to come back as soon as possible. I want the field back,” his words.
