Ducati dominance, after Pecco Bagnaia it’s Alvaro Bautista’s turn
Bautista is champion if he finishes first and Razgatlioglu finishes eighth or worse.
After the big celebration for Bagnaia’s MotoGp world title, Ducati is preparing for another big feat, namely winning the SBK title with Bautista. The 37-year-old Spaniard can clinch the title as early as the weekend in Indonesia. To be trouble-free, he has to go for the win. In that case, with Razgatlioglu eighth or worse, he will be SBK World Champion, and, for Ducati, there will be an encore world title.
“Now we have two rounds to end the SBK season and we are in a similar situation to the one Pecco found himself in last weekend. I know it’s not easy… Pecco knew he couldn’t fail because all he had to do was be calm and finish the race to be champion. In our case it is different because there are still two weekends left, which are six races, with which there are so many points up for grabs. Honestly, I don’t go to Indonesia thinking about the championship but I think about continuing to work well,” Bautista’s words to AS.
