The words of Claudio Domenicali

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about a hot topic ahead of next season, that related to the cohabitation between Pecco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini.

“I am aware of the risk of putting two such strong riders together and the standings say it, first and third in the World Championship. Pecco will want to beat Enea, who will want to prove that he is the strongest. But this energy is very important and I am convinced that the team has grown a lot in the ability to see the athlete as a person and to manage this complexity.”

Francesco, aka ‘Pecco,’ Bagnaia after winning the Moto2 world championship in 2018 with Sky Racing Team VR46, will make his MotoGp debut in 2019 riding the Ducati of Team Pramac Racing. In September 2020, he scores his first podium in the top MotoGP category at Misano.

The following year he switched to the official Ducati team and finished the championship in second place, behind the French Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo.
