Fines on the way for Juventus and Hellas Verona

The sports judge ruled on what happened in Hellas Verona-Juventus

Disqualification for Juventus’ Alex Sandro and rather hefty fines to both Juventus and Hellas Verona for fan intemperance. This is the sentence handed down by Sports Judge Gerardo Mastandrea, according to the Lega Serie A, in the aftermath of the match between the Scaligeri and the Bianconeri, won 1-0 by the latter.

Alex Sandro was punished with a one-day disqualification “for misconduct against an opponent (Third sanction); for having committed a foul intervention on an opponent in possession of a clear goal opportunity.”

7,000 euros fine, then, for Hellas Verona, “for having its supporters, during the course of the match, intoned insulting chants towards the supporters of the opposing team; for having also, at the end of the match, intoned a chorus
insulting towards the match director.”

For Juventus, finally, there is a 4,000 euro fine “for having its supporters, during the course of the match, thrown three firecrackers and two flares into the playing area; penalty mitigated ex art. 29, paragraph 1 letter b) CGS.
